This is what happens when my brain is left unattended

Ok, you have to listen to at least the first 30-45 seconds of the above video or this post will make no sense.

Which is typical for most of my posts, but humor me, please.

Did you watch it?

Are you sure?

Ok then.

So there have been commercials running for the last several weeks about the upcoming Cirque du Soleil show, “Alegria”, which is apparently coming to Boise.  I have heard this song over, and over, and over again, and it’s gotten stuck in my head.  Now, I don’t know about you, but when I get a song stuck in my head, after a while the lyrics start morphing into something else entirely.  In fact, I am famous for singing the wrong lyrics to songs.  Drives my husband bat shit crazy.  And I’m usually pretty oblivious, just rockin out with the head bob goin on.

ANYWAYS… the other day I have this “Alegria” song stuck in my head, but I couldn’t remember the lyrics, so it was just humming “Da-da-da-da…..dadadadadadada, da-da-da-da”….  I’m at work, concentrating on the task at hand, and then it happened…

My brain filled in the blank.

With the wrong word.

So instead of humming, “Ah-lah-gree-aaahhhh”…..

I was humming…

wait for it…

wait for it!!

(You figured it out, didn’t you…)

Ok, here you go

I be singin about STD’s baby!

The End.

  1. I think it’s because of your place of employment.
I saw a sign yesterday that said “STD” and “FML”.
They really need to think about what those abbreviations look like…

Whatcha Thinkin?
