I highly recommend you read this post by Jennifer, over at Conversion Diary. It’s about the discernment process she and her husband used to determine whether or not to participate in the KidSave Summer Miracle program – a charity that allows children living in orphanages all over the world a chance to live with an American family for the summer. This gives kids the opportunity to experience a summer adventure away from home, that often leads to them finding an adoptive family in the U.S. These children are usually older, facing little to no chance of being adopted in their home country. Obviously, this is not something that every family is able to do, but there are those out there who have the capacity to make a huge difference in a child’s life. Let them know about this organization.
