The road trip commenced at noon today and hubby and I departed Boise to the tune of E-40’s “You and that Bootie” blasting on the stereo. What MapQuest said would take 6 1/2 hours took us 7 1/2, mostly due to old, slow, and generally irritating drivers, who, we are convinced, took to the road solely to hold us back. (how’s that for a run-on sentence!)
The good news is that the slower pace allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty of our journey, which was truly spectacular. This is a great time of year for a road trip people. Even if it’s just around town. Get out there!
Now, for some pictures of our journey…

Oh wait. That’s right. Someone forgot to put the memory card back in the camera the last time she downloaded pictures. And our “back-up” camera’s card isn’t compatible with the laptop. So you, my dear reader, are spared the torture priveledge of scrolling through our vacation photos. But don’t worry, I’ll bombard you with them once we arrive back home or cough up $20 for another memory card. 🙂
For now, we’re snuggled up in (triple sheeting!) our hotel room in Spokane, watching the Colbert Report and munching on popcorn. The wireless signal is strong. Hubby forgot his sweatpants. Life is good.
