Overheard…

In case you’ve been missing the joys of grade-school humor, here’s a submission from “Overheard in the Office” website, a site that posts actual conversations overheard in the workplace:
4PM Why Are You Giggling, Sir?
Social worker on the phone: No sir, the hospital does not offer financial assistance for penile prosthesis. Well, have you spoken [...]

Satire at it’s best

If you haven’t heard of The Onion news, you should check it out. It’s the best news parody out there.
Here’s a tidbit:

Memorial Day Tribute

Found this video on YouTube.  On a day like today, I think we could all use an emotional reminder of the daily sacrifice offered up by our troops.

Tweak

About 2 years ago, Hubby brought me home a tiny, little, grey tabby kitten.  She was scrappy and insistent and a little hyper, so we named her Tweak after the South Park character who was constantly hyped up and paranoid due to too much caffeine.  I had no idea how appropriate that name would be [...]

Shocking

Ok, this is an example of sarcasm.  Because those of you who know me well, will so not find this post shocking at all.
You see…I locked myself out of my house last night.  Yes, I know, you would think that after being with my mother when she locked herself out of the house,  (see here) [...]

Illicit Comedy

I think I broke the law this weekend. Whatever law covers “indecent exposure”.

Cleanliness = Sanity

Whew!  After many (ok, only about 3) hours of hard labor (that part I’m not exaggerating), my house is finally clean.  Laundry is (mostly) done and I even managed to get the grocery shopping done and put dinner on the table.  My world is right side up again.  With all the events of the last [...]

Facebook

According to Facebook:
I would never be alone on a deserted island
If I were a pin-up girl I would be Jane Mansfield (!!?!?!?)
I am brighter than a big box of crayons (but not quite smarter than a 5th grader)
I can throw sheep at my friends
I am the #2 best shopping companion
It’s amazing the things you don’t [...]

Back to Normal

As normal as we get anyways…  Hubby and I made it back to town on Tuesday morning.  The funeral was at 9am in Phoenix and by 2:30 we were on the road pointed toward Idaho.  It was a sad event, but a good time to reconnect with Tim’s family – especially his father and sister.
I’m [...]
