Bad, Bad Books..

I have had a run of bad luck in my reading material lately.  Four different fictional novels, each with implausible, overwrought plots, and approximately 63 unnecessary characters later, and I’m left irritated and frustrated and wary of picking up another paperback for awhile…

I need a guaranteed good read.  Something with humor, romance, adventure – how hard can that be!?

Any ideas/suggestions?

Oh one of my favorites is called “The Blue Castle”.
I believe L.M. Montgomery wrote it but you would have to check with Mandi to make sure… I think you would enjoy it.

  2. Quinn is correct and that is a fun title! Also Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is always good (I’m reading it right now) and one called Mrs. Mike by Freeman. I can loan either of the two titles I recommended if you’d like them.

  3. Oooh… I just read a random article that mentioned Mrs. Mike, apparently it’s quite good! And Jane Eyre is one of those classics I’ve always intended to read but never got around to..

Quinn – I think I read The Blue Castle when I was in high school but it must be time for a re-read because I can’t remember what it was about.

Hmmm… I just got inspired for my next blog post.
